Three car thieves arrested after encounter with police in Gzb

The police on Wednesday arrested three auto thieves after an encounter in Loni, when they were trying steal a Ford Figo car. The arrested persons, identified as Dinesh, Mahendra and Vijendra, are the member of ‘jija-sale’ gang. Dinesh, the gang leader is brother-in-law of the other two.
When police asked the criminal to surrender, they opened fire at them. An encounter ensued between police and the criminals in which all three gang members sustained bullet injuries. Police said the criminals confessed to their crime during interrogation. ‘They revealed they had stolen a WagonR car from Vasundhara and Palio cwar from Vaishali Metro station earlier. They further said the car would be dumped after looting the accused,’ said Shiv Hari Meena, Superintendent of Police in the city.
On Tuesday, they looted a car from Sonu, a resident of Uttam Nagar in southwest Delhi, who immediately called police control room to report the incident.
