Three arrested for stealing bikes

The Bidhannagar Police arrested three persons on the charge of stealing motor bikes on Thursday night. Police said the three were the main members of a gang. The kingpin of the gang was also arrested.

Acting on secret information, a team from Bidhannagar South Police Station raided a house at Sukantanagar. The accused were arrested from there. Police also recovered two guns from the accused.

Police learnt that those accused were earlier arrested by the Kolkata police on the same charge. “Kolkata police arrested them earlier. The charge was almost same. We’ve taken some information of this gang from Kolkata police. We’ll arrest the other gang member soon,” said the officer.

Police came to learn that the gang earlier lifted many bikes from Salt Lake area.
