Three arrested for running job racket

Three persons have been arrested for allegedly running a job racket and luring youngsters with offers of recruitment in government banks and post offices, police said on Sunday. The trio was arrested from Connaught Place. 

Police said Rajender Kumar (58), a graduate of Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), is the gang’s mastermind. About 23 cases of cheating are registered against him at various police stations in Delhi. Rajender, Sumit Jha (29) and Dinesh Kumar (28) were arrested, while trying to dupe five persons, whom they had called for recruitment at State Bank of India (SBI) and Postal department, said DCP Vijay Singh.

One of the candidates, Rahul Panwar from UP, was called for an interview for the post of a clerk in SBI and was demanded Rs 5.5 lakh,  of which he had already paid Rs 1 lakh to the accused, he said. The police managed to recover 20 forged appointment letters of 12 government banks, 
the official said.
