This year, trade fair to be more visitaor-friendly

The 35th India International Trade Fair (IITF) — that is to commence from November 14, 2015, shall be more visitor-friendly. No longer long walks from pavilion to pavilion.

The India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) introduces this year three circular bus services with colour codes for three routes–green, red and violet–that would provide facility to visit pavilions from one corner to the other within Pragati Maidan. The service is offered free of cost to visitors. This also provides connectivity between gates.

Senior citizens who hitherto had to enter only through gates 1 and 2 may now enter from any of the gates of the fair complex.

Accompanying attendants are therefore advised to have their tickets purchased from the nearest Metro Stations to avoid shuttling to gates 1 and 2 from other entry points.

The old and infirm or differently-abled may seek wheel-chair assistance at any of the gates.
Senior citizens and the differently-abled are exempted from buying entry tickets. However, accompanying attendants need to buy for their entry as applicable on the day.

Ambulances are also available to meet any medical exigency.

Those availing Hop-on Hop-off bus service plying on round-robin-route of Pragati Maidan gate no 1/2 (Bhairon Road)–Indraprastha Metro Station–ITO–Pragati Maidan Metro Station–gate nos 7,5 and 4 (Mathura Road) may also buy exhibition entry tickets in the bus itself.

There are an increased number of buses on these routes to facilitate quicker movement of pubic.
Additionally, pre-paid taxi service will also be available at gates 8 and 2, which will be managed by the Delhi Traffic Police.

School children are allowed entry during the first five business days also (November 14-18) against prices of entry tickets applicable on public days (November 19-27).

More toilets/public conveniences have been constructed at gate no 10 (entry to Pragati Maidan from Metro Station).

Also, free sanitary napkin vending points at women’s toilets are being made available.
