With books like Beyond Silence and Widows of Vrindavan to her credit, Kusum Ansal’s yet another masterpiece Pilgrimage To A Mysterious World which is a collection of poems was released on 23 May by Padam Shri Muzaffar Ali in the capital.

After the book launch there was a  book reading session by Sarla Chandra, artist and recipient of several awards who has contributed her painting for the book; Padma Shri Sunita Jain, a writer honoured for her outstanding contribution in Hindi and English literature for last forty years; Lavleen Thadani, renowned media personality who has many films on social issues to her credit; prominent poet and documentary film producer were some of the eminent personalities who attended the book launch. 

Ansal’s latest collection of poems revolves around the journey of a lonely shopowner in Baramulla to the widows of Brindavan, and from her visit to Auschwitz to her journey to Rawalpindi tracking the memory of her mother. Ansal’s poems are a reflection of her quest for the ultimate reality and understanding of this world. Her journey discerning the infinite is a pilgrimage to a world full of mysteries we all try to understand.
