The fairer touch

Scheduled to be held at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, Abahoni 2014 will start off on 1 March, 10 am onwards. The inaugural day will not only be commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda but it will also be celebrating International Woman's Day.

The main idea behind Abahoni 2014 is to promote artisans and women entrepreneurs from across India. So to support the cause of women empowerment and to help the rural artisans get a global platform to showcase their art, culture, and handcrafted products, Abahoni 2014 is a must visit.

Head over to celebrate creativity from all across the country and to top it all there will be some delectable food stalls to satiate your hunger pangs. Savour the delicacies from West Bengal along with the much loved mughlai cuisine that is also a big part of Bengali food.

Art, culture, food, handloom and handicrafts all come under one roof at IGNCA this March to provide people from Delhi a stellar opportunity to make the most of it all.

And least you thought that a whole day of shopping and food might get a little boring, worry not! Abahoni 2014 has folk song and dance performances scheduled as well with the famous Bengal Chauu dance as the special attraction for the event. Don't miss this!
