The best of time the worst of time

Raqs Media Collective, which showcases their work in a Retrospective show, titled, Asmayavali/The Untimely Calendar. The show will be inaugurated by Okwui Enwezor, Artistic Director, Venice Biennale, on the December 18, at Jaipur House, National Gallery of Modern Art. 

The Raqs Media Collective, as the name itself suggests uses many mediums of expression to communicate concepts, thoughts and ideas. The Raqs Media Collective (Jeebesh Bagchi, Monica Narula and Shuddhabrata Sengupta)has been highly visible on the International art scene for the last decade. They enjoy playing a plurality of roles, often appearing as artists, occasionally as curators, and sometimes as philosophical agent provocateurs. 

The retrospective is more than just showcase of their two decades of body of work. It is instead, an invitation to a working laboratory of ideas on fundamental questions, emotions and concepts. A conversation about time, as well questions about time, the showcase by the Raqs Media Collective reflects the state of flux that defines much of our times, as well as the human condition.
