The anarkali story

Wedding season is here! Bridal Week wrapped up last month and loads of wedding exhibitions dot the city. Not just for the bride it is pretty essential for all women to look good. Chitra Agarwal from Inaya Couture provides some valuable inputs on how to select an anarkali for a mehandi or sangeet function. Read on!
Anarkali salwar kameez with short sleeves or designer sleeveless kurta with leggings works well for mehendi ceremony. If you’re a leggy lass, you have nothing to worry about. Anarkalis look great on tall women.
If you have a small built, choose an anarkali style carefully. Avoid too much flare. Petite girls should pick something with moderate flare as too much of it can drown you in the fabric. You could also try picking a kurta that ends above your knee.
Slim girls can either go for traditional or something fashionable for sangeet function. Short girls have to be extra careful while wearing an anarkali as it can make you look like a tent if not worn correctly.
Pick an anarkali in a single colour and go easy on the flare.  An anarkali without too many kalis is what you should pick. And don’t forget a dashing pair of heels, would surely become centre of attraction in any occasion.
