TET examination interview dates announced for four districts

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education announced the interview dates of TET pass-outs for Burdwan, East Midnapore, Cooch Behar and Howrah.

The interview procedure in East Midnapore, Cooch Behar and Burdwan was stalled due to by-elections. Now the board has decided to complete the recruitment process soon in those districts.

The board has also announced the date of interview for Howrah district. The date of interview for Malda will soon be announced, an education department source said.

The interview in Cooch Behar has been scheduled from December 8 to December 10. The candidates have to reach the venue by 10 am. The interview will continue till 5 pm. Cooch Behar’s Rambhola High School will be the venue of the interview, a board official said.

The interview in Howrah has been scheduled from December 9 to December 11. The candidates have to reach the venue, Howrah Zilla School, by 10 am. The interview will take place till 5 pm. The board scheduled the interview date for East Midnapore on December 10 and December 11. The interview will be taken from 10 am to 5 pm at Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya.

The interview in Burdwan has been scheduled from December 8 to December 11 at Burdwan Municipal High School from 10 am to 5 pm. The candidates were informed via text message on their mobile phones and email.

It may be recalled that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee instructed state education minister Partha Chatterjee from the dais at a meeting at Singur. She instructed the minister to expedite the process of recruitment.

The government also initiated the process of recruitment in upper primary. The working teachers had filed a lawsuit, following which the Calcutta High Court gave the verdict that they will be able to seat in the upcoming upper primary and school service examinations.
