Temple fire Toll goes to 108

Kerala government on Thursday put the toll in the Puttingal Devi Temple fireworks tragedy at 108, saying the higher number of dead announced earlier was due to “duplication” in counting. The toll in the Sunday’s accident is 108 and not 114 as stated by the government earlier. The government announced the new toll after a three-member Cabinet Sub-Committee held a review meeting with police, health department, other officials.
