Telangana CM to take up issue with PM

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday said that he will take up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi the demand for recall of University of Hyderabad vice chancellor P. Appa Rao.

He announced this in assembly while replying to debate on the unrest in the central university in the wake of Appa Rao resuming charge as the vice chancellor. KCR, as the leader is popularly known, said he would take up the issue with the Prime Minister in two to three days, and expressed hope that the issue will be sorted out.

KCR was responding to the demand by Majlis-e-Ittehadul MuslimeenA (MIM) and other parties that the house pass a resolution to urge the central government to recall Appa Rao as VC as his return to the university has created fresh unrest.
