Teenager stabs 24-year-old to death in Trilokpuri

A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by a 15-year-old boy over a petty dispute in east Delhi’s Trilokpuri area on Saturday, police said. The accused teenager later surrendered before the police, saying that he stabbed the man as the latter was beating him, police said.

The incident was triggered by an argument that arose between the minor and the victim identified as Ajay, a resident of Raghuveer <g data-gr-id="26">Nagar,</g> while they were consuming liquor. The police said the duo entered into a spat after getting drunk and Ajay allegedly thrashed the boy. He also chased the boy to his house in Block IV in Trilokpuri, where he again beat him up. “Feeling humiliated and enraged after being thrashed by a man in his own area, the juvenile stabbed Ajay,” said a senior police officer.

In a fit of rage, the boy stabbed him thrice in the chest, stomach and waist, killing Ajay on the spot, the officer said.

According to the police, both the boy and Ajay have a criminal history. Four cases have been registered against Ajay, he said. The minor has been sent to a juvenile home. A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered and he will be produced before a magistrate, the officer added.
