Teachers’ recruitment after SC decision: Raj

The ruling BJP government has assured the House that the result of Punjabi language teachers, who went through recruitment examination 2012, would be declared after the Supreme Court’s decision where an SLP was pending.

Replying to an issue raised by BJP MLA Shimla Bawari, Panchayati Raj Minister Surendra Goyal said examination for 136 posts of Punjabi language teachers in Srigangangar and 85 posts in Hanumangarh was held but a few students had moved the Supreme Court with the SLP.

Till the SC disposes off the SLP, the result cannot be announced, Goyal said, adding after the SC decision the result would be taken up.

On an another issue of police lathicharge on advocates in Alwar recently which was raised by a
Congress MLA Shakuntla Rawat, Home Minister GC Kataria said the Divisional Commissioner was already probing the case.  He, however, claimed that crime in Alwar district had declined in 2014 as compared to 2013 (Congress rule). As against 115 murders reported in 2013, there were only 104 murders, he added.
