Tanda unit celebrates Hindi Diwas

Hindi Diwas was celebrated at NTPC-Tanda Thermal Power Station with great pomp and show.  The Hindi Fortnight held at the unit featured events like noting and drafting, lecture, essay competition, Kavi Drabar, short story telling and other events in which employees and their families participated in large numbers.

The special attraction of the Hindi Fortnight was the Lok Natya Samaroh held in association with Uttar Pradesh Song and Drama Academy, Lucknow. The Samaroh featured Ramleela from Ramleela Mandal, Ayodhya on 10 September,  Veer Balak from Ragi Rag Mandal, Allahabad on 11 September, Nautanki  Dahiwali from Harishchandra & Party, Kanpur on 12 September,  Hori from Brij Lok Kala Mandal, Mathura on 13 September and Bidesiya from Sankalp, Balia on 14 September. Speaking on the closing ceremony of the fortnight, chief guest A K Sinha, general manager [in-charge], NTPC-Tanda highlighted the significance of Rajabhasa Hindi and its necessity for wide use and application in personal as well as professional life.
