Talks on French jet deal to conclude early

Negotiations on the 126 fighter jet deal which French firm Dassault had got in 2012, are in an advanced stage and are likely to conclude early, French Ambassador to India Francois Richier said on Wednesday.
“Negotiations started early 2012 and almost three years after it is still going on. Many people think that it got stuck. These kind of durations are normal as the negotiations are complex,” Richier told a news conference here on Wednesday.
The French envoy said talks were making good progress now as both the countries had decided to put in into fast track. “Negotiations are likely to conclude early,” he said.
