Singer Taylor Swift’s fourth studio album Red sold 1.2 million copies its first week. It is the first time an artist has accomplished such a feat in 10 years.
In 2002, Eminem sold 1.32 million copies of The Eminem Show.
Swift is over the moon, reports eonline.com.
‘They just told me Red sold 1.2 million albums first week. How is this real life? You are unreal. I love you so much. Thanks a million,’ Swift tweeted Wednesday.
With her latest milestone behind her, Swift is now second only to Britney Spears in terms of the biggest album debut by a female artist.
