Suspended MLA Manvendra hopes to make comeback

Expelled BJP leader Jaswant Singh’s son, Manvendra Singh, who was suspended by the party last year from its primary membership, has said that he has no plans of quitting the party as he has been advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to wait till his suspension was revoked.

He was in April last year removed from party’s National Executive for campaigning against the party’s official candidate in Barmer Lok Sabha seat of Rajasthan.

Manvendra, who is an MLA from Sheo constituency, said, “I will remain with BJP as Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has asked me to wait and have patience.”

“Recently, PM Modiji, who came to visit my ailing father in Delhi, advised me to be patient and wait till my suspension is revoked by the state BJP unit,” he said.

Asked about his father’s health, he said, “His condition is improving and he has started reacting.”
