Sunny Deol didn’t need my help: Ravi

Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan, who shares screen space with Sunny Deol in Mohalla Assi, set on the ghats of Varanasi, says a star like Sunny didn’t need his help to learn the local language of Benaras.
‘Sunny paaji is my senior. I call him sir. I can’t train anyone. Artists train themselves when the need arises. I did not train him. He knew the language and caught the lingo,’ the 40-year-old said here. Sunny, last seen in Yamla Pagla Deewana, plays an orthodox Hindu priest and a Sanskrit teacher in the film.
‘[Director] Chandra Prakash Dwivedi had told him everything in detail. Sunnyji will surprise you in the film,’ he added, about the movie, which features TV star Sakshi Tanwar as Sunny’s wife.
Meanwhile, Ravi has a host of films lined up, including a Yash Raj Films project. “There is Mohalli Assi, Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal. There is also a Yash Raj film that has just started. [It is called] Mere Daddy Ki Maruti,’ said Ravi, last seen in Agent Vinod.
