Sunanda BBM texts establish Tharoor link to Moin Qureshi?

The investigation by Delhi police into the Sunanda Pushkar murder case has opened a can of worms. The exchange of messages between Pushkar and controversial hawala operator Moin Qureshi has startled those probing the matter. On Wednesday, former CBI chief Amar Pratap Singh had to quit his job for his alleged links with Qureshi.

According to a senior police official, “We have received some information about the messages exchanged between Sunanda and Qureshi. We are probing the inputs and have asked the SIT to unearth the relations between them.” Given that Pushkar and Tharoor were under scanner for their role in the IPL scam, which was probed by CBI, the message could throw some light.

According to a source, the first message sent by Sunanda on March 17, 2013 said, “Is everything okay in your factory? We missed you. But having another dinner, do come.”

The next message sent a few second later said, “Hey Naveen, Shashi and I would be delighted if you would join us for dinner at our home, 97, Lodhi Estate, at 8:30 pm on Wednesday. A chance to be convivial before Parliament recess, Love Sunanda.”

About half an hour later, Qureshi replied both her messages. The message reads: “Thanks, all under control now. Darling, I am in Lahore on March 20. Will meet up when back. Thanks for the invite.

Love Moin.” Both Qureshi and Sunanda did not exchange any message on BBM for the next four months. Then on August 2, 2013, Qureshi sent a text message to Sunanda saying: “Hope will see you both for dinner at 9 pm at 4 Oak drive.”  Sunanda replied, “Yes, darling see you.”
