Student dies after being run over

A 22-year-old engineering student of a reputed college was run over by a car at the Greater Noida expressway. The incident occurred on Sunday night around 9 pm when the victim, Devshish Mishra (22), got off from a bus at the Galgotia engineering college bus station when an over speeding sedan rammed him from behind. “Mishra received head injuries and fractures in his legs after the impact. The doctors declared him dead on arrival,” said Sanjay Singh, SP (Rural), Greater Noida. The accused driver managed to escape from the spot, leaving his car behind. “We are investigating the matter and are looking for the accused. The police have registered a case” Singh added.
