Stuck to basics, says Amit Mishra

Sunrisers Hyderabad leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who has taken the most number of hat-tricks in IPL (3, DD vc DC in in 2008 and DC vs KXIP in 2011), said he had stuck to his basics en route his third such feat against Pune Warriors. ‘I did not try for any tricks, I wanted to keep it simple. I did not think of any other thing, just bowled to get the wickets and I got a hat-trick,’ Mishra said after Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Pune Warriors by 11 runs in a nail-biting finish. Asked if there was any discussion before the match how to bowl to defend the small score of 119, Mishra said, ‘(Captain) Cameron White said to me that I should go for wickets and I did just that. It’s a great feeling, I am happy to help my team win Wednesday. The team is working together, supporting each other.’
