Strokes of freedom

To mark India’s 68th Independence Day Celebration, DLF Promenade is organising an art exhibition titled Strokes of Freedom by artists Vatsala Ranjan and Jasmeet Khurana. All the paintings on display depicts the pursuit of freedom at a much more basic level which we all seek internally for ourselves.

Ranjan was introduced to art as a kid through her mother. Despite having travelled heavily around the globe for almost a decade, her paintings are innately Indian. The use of earthy colors is prominent in her artworks and her figures have a rustic look. She has participated in various art exhibitions and art camps where her work has earned immense appreciation.

Khurana, a Delhi based accomplished interior designer turned artist, has ventured into the field of art by design. Even in the abstractions one can see how delicately she has woven her thoughts. Her experience of the interiors makes her do the landscapes using her innate sense of space, colors and design. Her strokes are bold which essentially speak of her free spirited thoughts.
