Stars to take over couture week

Expect a host of Bollywood stars to descend on Delhi next week, thanks to the upcoming PCJ Delhi Couture Week. With a line-up of designers that include Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra, JJ Valaya, Manish Arora [who will be showcasing his collection in the Capital after nearly three years], Anamika Khanna, Varun Bahl, Gaurav Gupta, Ashima-Leena among others, Bollywood is going to make its presence felt in a big way, says a source.

Varun Bahl will open the Delhi edition. The fashion extravaganza has been slated for 8-12 August at the Taj Palace hotel. Watch out for Manav Gangwani, who did a stunner of a show in the last edition. A total of 11 designers will be participating.

‘This couture week will bring together the best designers from India to create never seen before moments,’ said FDCI President Sunil Sethi.

On being asked how he managed the coup of getting Manish Arora to showcase in India after long, Sethi said: ‘I had asked him two months back when he was here. It didn’t take much time for him to show his commitment to FDCI and come back again.’
