Starburst at son’s reception lightens Amit Shah’s mood

9-Ashok road was earlier allotted to BJP leader Arun Jaitley as official residence but after he became the Union Finance Minister, 9-Ashok Road became the extended portion of BJP headquarters (11-Ashok Road). Jaitley never stayed in the bungalow and it has always been occupied by the party pracharaks.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who failed to make it to the wedding ceremony at YMCA Club in Ahmedabad on February 10 (the day Delhi Poll results were declared), was seen exchanging greetings with the guests. He was welcomed by Shah and his wife.

One of the guests said, unlike in the wedding ceremony in Ahmedabad, guests including union ministers and party leaders were seen in a happy mood. Even Modi and Shah were looking “better” and gave their blessings to Jay and his wife Rishika.  A total of 1400 guests were invited. 

Interestingly Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and Trinamool Congress vice president Dinesh Trivedi also came to bless the couple.  

PDP’s Mehbooba Mufti and former BCCI Chief N Srinivasan also turned up. Top leaders of RSS, VHP, bureaucrats, industrialists including the Birlas, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Anil Ambani were also in attendance.
