Stamp almost killed by horse on set of Bitter Harvest

Actor Terence Stamp has revealed he was almost killed following an accident involving his horse while filming for his upcoming movie Bitter Harvest. The Superman actor revealed how his horse fell on him during his last day of filming in Ukraine, reported Digital Spy.

“My horse had a habit, when I brought it to a stop, of lifting its front legs up. On my last day, I brought it to a stop but slid off the back,” Stamp said.

“I looked up and saw that this horse, which weighed half a ton, had lost its balance and was going to fall directly on me. I always imagined that my last thoughts would be somehow profound, but what went through my mind was, ‘distinguished actor killed by horse’s arse’.

“It fell on my chest and pelvis. If it had landed any further up, it would have killed me.”

Following the incident, Stamp admitted he was left with two broken ribs and a pelvis broken in six places, as well as suffering from a ripped tendon in his arm.

Bitter Harvest, which is also known as The Devil’s Harvest” and stars Max Irons, Emilia Fox, Samantha Barks and Aneurin Barnard, is currently in post-production.
