SRK, Kajol in city to promote Dilwale

Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol visited the city on Tuesday to promote their recent film Dilwale.

Khan said, “I have received love and blessings from people coming from all walks of life and intolerance really pains me.”

Regretting that many people could not watch this film in Delhi and Gujarat, he said, “It is unfortunate that screening of the film was not allowed in some parts of the country. It is purely an entertainment film which all the family members can sit together and watch.”

Khan said that people in different parts of the country had misinterpreted or misconstrued  his statement. “People have misunderstood me and misinterpreted my language and I am really sorry for them who got me wrong.” Asked whether he would make a film against intolerance, Khan said, “I have no plans at the moment.” He said he was very happy to be the brand Ambassador of West Bengal.  “I thank the people for their special love for me and they call me Khan dada.”

Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh and Kajal arrived at the Kolkata airport. Thousands of fans gathered at the airport to have a glimpse of the matinee idol. Later, he attended a function at the East Bengal Club.
