Great start by Shiv Kapur, 6th after 1st round in Germany

Indian golfer Shiv Kapur, who got in as a sponsor's invite, on Friday made a great a start with a five-under 67 that placed him Tied sixth at the BMW International Open here. Kapur, who is coming off some good results including a win and second place finish on the Asian Tour, had seven birdies including five on the back nine. Another Indian in the field, Jeev Milkha Singh struggled to four-over 76 that included two double bogeys.

Australian Wade Ormsby fired a blemish-free 64 to take the first-round lead.

This season, Kapur has made two cuts on European Tour events, only one of them was in Europe in Sweden, and other was Malaysian Championships. He missed cuts at Golf Sixes in Australia and Hero Indian Open.
