Barca legends vs Juventus legends game called off

Mumbai: A football exhibition game between the legends of renowned European clubs, FC Barcelona and Juventus, scheduled on April 27, has been cancelled, according to the Mumbai District Football Association.
The reason given by the MDFA for the cancellation of the game, which was to be held at the D Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, was the non availability of the star players whose names were announced earlier.
World Cup star Andoni Goicoetxea of Spain, Frank de Boer, Gudjohnsen, Juan Carlos Rodriguez, Julio Salinas and Jose Edmilson were supposed to turn out for FC Barcelona Legends under lights at the Nerul stadium.
The man instrumental in bringing the two European teams was Kaushik Moulik of Football Next Foundation.
