Sports Min: Give recommendations for awards by Mar 2016

The Sports Ministry on Friday instructed all the National Sports Federations to submit this year's recommendations for cash awards to athletes and coaches by March 31, 2016.
"In order to ensure that there is no delay in recommendations, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has asked all the National Sports Federations (NSFs) to send the recommendations for Cash Awards to Sportspersons and their coaches in respect of medals won a calendar year (ending on 31st December) to the Ministry by 31st March of the next year," the Ministry said in a statement.
"The issue of late submission of cases of cash awards to medal winning sportspersons and their coaches by some NSFs had been drawing the attention of the Ministry for quite some time," it added.
In a communication sent to Indian Olympic Association, Paralympic Committee of India and all National Sports Federations, the Ministry said, any delay in submission of recommendations will be "adversely viewed" during evaluation of NSFs' performance.
