Speeding car injures two minors

Two school-going children suffered major injuries when a speeding car hit them in South Delhi’s Mahipalpur area on Thursday. After hitting the <g data-gr-id="23">children</g> the driver fled from the spot.

According to the police, the incident took place at7.30am on Thursday morning when the children were on their way to school. On reaching Rangpuri Pahari area, they were hit by a speeding car near Sarvodaya School. The victims have been identified as Vipin (11), and <g data-gr-id="29">Visha</g> (6). Both are students in a private school in Mahipalpur area.

Police said the driver of the car, Harish, was on his way back after dropping his child at a school.
Soon after the incident the locals made a call to the Police Control Room and both the kids were rushed to a private hospital for treatment. They sustained serious injuries on their legs. However, post treatment they were released from the hospital.

A case has been registered against the accused for negligence at the Vasant Kunj (South) police station. The police are still searching for the accused.
