Singer Britney Spears is reportedly not allowed to read about her current court hearing.
Spears, 30, suffered a drug meltdown in 2007 and now her father Jamie Spears and fiance Jason Trawick fear she will suffer again if she goes through the bad and stressful news.
‘Britney has been banned from reading about the trial for her own good. They are trying to protect her from all this,’ thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
The Spears are being sued by Britney’s former manager Sam Lufti.
He sues the singer’s family, claiming that he was wrongly blamed for her falling apart in a book by her mum Lynne.
‘It will be terrible for her recovery if she reads about her worst days all over again,’ said the source.
The Los Angeles court has heard how the mum-of-two was hooked on amphetamines and ended up being sectioned after swallowing 30 pills in 2008.
A year earlier, she chopped off her blonde locks fearing traces of drugs during her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
