SP will sweep Lok Sabha election in UP: Akhilesh

‘These are the same survey companies that have predicted in 2012 that SP will not come to power but they were proved wrong. This time they are saying SP will not do well in Lok Sabha polls. But the fact is that not a single sample was collected from Mainpuri, Kannauj, Etah or Etawah. This shows that these surveys were done not through scientific method,’ he said while addressing reporters here on Saturday.

Without taking the name of BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi, Akhilesh said, ‘Some leaders are talking of development agenda but actually they are trying to communalise the voters to grab the power. But SP would not allow these communal forces to achieve their agenda.’

The CM refused to comment anything whether Mulayam Singh Yadav , who was also expected to present in the press meet but was absent, would also contest from Azamgarh along with Mainpuri.

Akhilesh said that he was committed to give a good governance with stress on corruption free policies and better law and order situation. ‘We have fulfilled the expectations of the common masses by implementing most of our promises in just two-year time span. No one can point out any corruption in the distribution unemployment allowances or in the laptops,’ he said.

The CM accompanied by several of his ministers, narrated in detail about the achievement of the government in health, power,  education, infrastructure, roads sectors and implementation of the social and welfare schemes.

Akhilesh also warned the party leaders of stern action if they do  not support the party candidates in the elections. ‘We are watching every activities of the party workers and leaders minutely’, he said.

‘SP will certainly perform well in the Lok Sabha elections as the support base of the party has increased after its good work in the state,’ he said while adding that government was doing everything to control the crimes.
