SP fires fresh salvos against UPA govt

Samajwadi Party continued its tirade against the Congress-led UPA government for its failures in all fields including foreign policy and announced that it would launch agitation against the Central government.

‘The government has failed in its foreign policies. Thanks to this government as no neighbouring countries are now our friend,’ SP spokesperson and UP minister Rajendra Choudhury said here on Wednesday.

SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was in the state capital, however refused to speak to the media and left Chaudhury to deal with media. He said that SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav had repeatedly warned the Centre about the Chinese intrusion but took no notice of it and overlooked the matter, with the situation spiralling out of control. ‘China has encroached our land but the present government has so far not taken the issue seriously,’ he said. On issue of SP-UPA relationship, he said, ‘we have been opposing the Centre on anti-people policies and would be continuing to do so in future.’

He also announced that the SP would also launch a stir against the Centre over its anti-people policies. The timing of the agitation would be announced later.
