Soon, app for quick response to women victims of crime: Rajnath
Government is working on a mobile app having facility of a panic button to ensure prompt response by Delhi Police to victims of crime, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday, amid increasing demands for better security for women.
The Home Minister said government would use technology significantly to check crime in the national capital.
“We are going to do an experiment of a new application.
And this application will have a panic button and as any victim presses it, a message will utomatically reach the nearest police station or its main monitering centre,” Singh said. The Delhi Police functions under the direct command of the Union Home Ministry.
“Through this application, we will ensure that victims get police help as soon as possible,” Singh said on the sideline of an event.
