AAP MLA and board member of Delhi Development Authority Somnath Bharti on Thursday alleged that LG Najeeb Jung threatened him to lodge FIR in the board meeting when he was ‘raising’ issues related to change of land use of a plot and allocating it to BJP. “As the minutes of last meeting were presented for approval, I asked LG who is the chairperson to explain on why land use of the land earmarked for nursery school was changed and allocated to BJP purely for political purpose, LG tried to silence me but I kept on raising the question, then he threatened to lodge FIR against me,”alleged Bharti. “This is the way police is being used at the pretext of BJP leaders to silence the AAP members in the meetings of DDA,” he added, claiming, he would keep on raising the issues related to the cause of public. “Can LG give any other example where a file was cleared in just eight days?,”questioned Bharti on the fast-track change of land use in this case.
