Congress MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Rajkumar on Tuesday said the Uttarakhand government’s work towards its commitment of regularisation and ownership rights of 582 slums is indeed a big step to improve the life standards of people who work hard to make both their ends meet.
“The making of parking space for vehicles, green belt development and setting-up of parks is appreciated by common man. The Rispana and Bindal rivers which were in a poor condition for long period are now turning to be lifelines of Doonites.
The sanitation, drainage, flood control work etc has been given equal importance for ensuring quality life to people of lower strata,” he said in a press conference held at Vidhan Sabha. “HN Bahuguna complex, Rajiv Gandhi multi-purpose complex, car parking lot, re-development work nearby Indira Market has eased the traffic movement in busy market of this congested city,” the MLA added.
