Sisodia asks babus to hold 'Janata Samvad'

The AAP government on the pattern of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has decided to start a public Hearing (Janata Samvad), for which all Principal Secretaries, Secretaries as well as Head of Departments have directed to be present between 12 noon and <g data-gr-id="20">1pm</g> on <g data-gr-id="19">weekdays,except</g> Wednesday.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has directed the senior Delhi government officials to meet the public every day to listen to their grievances and redress them.

Sisodia also suggested the officers to keep the public hearing (Janata Samvad) on top priority and not to avoid it.

"He said even if the CM or Deputy CM or any other minister calls the officers during the said period, they must not leave the meeting on their second in command, but try to reschedule the meeting with the CM or deputy chief minister," a senior government official said.

In case, the Principal Secretary or Secretary were not available, then the senior-most officer will hold the public meeting, it said.

In the meeting, officials have been asked to maintain a record of all the complainants registering their grievances during the public hearing and <g data-gr-id="21">integret</g> it with the public grievance system to ensure action is taken on them.
