Sibal attacks Modi, aide in Tulsiram murder case

Attacking the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday, the union law minister Kapil Sibal claimed Modi and one of his aides, Parag Shah, had conspired to kill Tulsiram Prajapati. ‘It is a direct allegation that the CM’s office was fully in the know of what was happening in the encounter to eliminate Tulsiram Prajapati. The circumstantial evidence is clear that Narendra Modi is an accused,’ said Sibal while addressing a press-conference.

He asked why Parag Shah was not questioned and why Modi was not interrogated. He said the court must ensure that the guilty are brought to book.Sibal also shared documents which revealed details of the phone calls made by Amit Shah in connection with the Sohrabuddin, Kausar Bi and Tulsiram Prajapati encounter cases. ‘These are very startling facts on the paper which I have given to you, which tells you about Amit Shah, who is leading the BJP’s campaign. It is he who is an accused in a triple murder case. Sohrabuddin. Kausar Bi, and Tulsi Prajapati. Now, listen to me carefully, on 26 November, 2005, through an encounter Sohrabuddin was killed. On 29 November, 2005, Kauser Bi was murdered. In both these cases, Amit Shah was involved. On December 28, 2006, a year after, Prajapati was eleiminated and Shah also had a hand in it,’  said the Congress leader.

‘While Modi says that whosoever is involved in crimes will not be allowed to be a member of Parliament, in fact, most of the criminal candidates are from the BJP. Why was the encounter of Prajapati allowed to happen? This you must know. When the encounter of Sohrabuddin took place along with the murder of Kauser Bi, it was Tulsi Ram Prajapati who was a witness to it, and if he would have been alive, then, he would have told it all. They hatched a conspiracy from November 2005 to December 2006, and in that interim period, Amit Shah had made several phone calls,’ he added.
