Shots fired outside home of Joe Biden

Shots have been fired from a passing vehicle outside the home of the US Vice President in Delaware, Secret Service on Sunday, officials have said. Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, were not present at the house at the time, according to reports. An official told that the shots were heard by Secret Service personnel and that an agent saw a vehicle driving away from the scene “at a high rate of speed”.

Searches were due to be conducted outside the home and nearby residences in New Castle County to see if any buildings were hit by bullets. The vice president’s residence is several hundred yards from the main road from where the shots were fired. In an incident that is not currently being treated as related, New Castle County Police arrested a driver on suspicion of resisting arrest.
