Shorgul receives clearance, hits screens today

The film is said to be based on the Muzaffarnagar riots, and objections have been raised alleging that it features characters inspired by BJP legislator Sangeet Som, Uttar Pradesh current Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and state cabinet minister Azam Khan.
