Shocking Bollywood-inspired revenge murder

In a shocking case of revenge, four brothers shot dead the alleged murderer of their father on Monday morning in Greater Noida.
The incident happened at around 6.30 in the morning when the victim, Vijender Bhati [50] had gone to visit his fields. He received four bullets in his chest and temple and died on the spot. Bhati was the former Sarpanch of village Dunpat in Surajpur area of Greater Noida, but was defeated by the mother of assailants in last election. Bhati had reportedly served as sub-inspector in Delhi Police.
According to the police, Vijender Bhati was an accused in the murder case of Vijay Pal Gurjar around 15 years ago. ‘These assailants were kids then and were nourishing the revenge in their minds since their childhood,’ said Ashok Kumar, SP Greater Noida. Their mother Rameshwari Devi wrested the post of Sarpanch from Bhati in recent Panchayat elections.
The accused were identified as Hitender, Satender, Jitender, and Gajender. The accused managed to flee the scene. ‘We have deployed police personnel in the village to avert any unwanted incident and teams are being sent to nab the culprits,’ added Kumar.
