Sheila Dikshit’s son-in-law held in domestic violence case

Former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit’s son-in-law was on Sunday arrested for allegedly subjecting his wife to domestic violence.

The accused, Syed Mohammed Imran, was arrested by a Delhi Police team in Bangalore for allegedly subjecting his wife, Latika Dikshit Syed, to domestic violence. Imran has been booked under sections of the Domestic Violence Act.

According to the police, Imran and Latika shared a strained relationship and the couple had separated ten months ago.

Sources said Latika had filed a complaint against Imran at the Barakhamba police station, after which police teams were sent to Bangalore to arrest the latter. Imran was brought to Delhi on transit remand on Sunday and is being quizzed.
