‘Shah will spell doom for BJP’

Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday said that controversial BJP leader Amit Shah will ‘destroy’ his own party by his deeds as party has started losing faith among the people.

‘Everyone knows the credentials of Shah and his role in Gujarat riots when he was home minister there. The recent statements of Shah will certainly spell doom for BJP and he himself will be instrumental in the end of the BJP,’ Yadav said while addressing press conference here. The SP supremo, however, evaded query why Uttar Pradesh government did not arrest Shah for his controversial statement even after 2 FIRs were registered against him at Shamli and Bijnore districts.

‘The statement of Shah was condemnable which was aimed at creating tension and affect the communal harmony prevailing in the society,’ he said 

Election Commission has served a notice to Shah over his hate speech and asked him to reply by on Wednesday. The Samajwadi Party gota shot in its arm after senior BJP leader and former union minister Ashok Pradhan joined the Samajwadi Party on Tuesday. Along with Pradhan, another senior BJP leader from Sidharthnagar district Prem Prakash Tiwari alias Gippy Tiwari also joined the SP.

Tiwari is three-time BJP MLA from Doomariaganj assembly  segement.

Mulayam, welcoming both the leaders in the party, immediately appointed Pradhan as the party national general secretary.

Pradhan told to mediapersons that the dedicated workers and leaders of the BJP were forced to leave the party due to inner groupism and ouster of Atal-Advani. Pradhan has won the 1996,1998,1999 and 2004 Lok Sabha elections from Khurja seat in Bulandshahr district and was a minister in the 

Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
