Sex racket busted in Baguiati, 7 held

The city police busted a sex racket from a flat at Chinar Park area in Baguiati on Thursday night.

The police came to know from sources that a sex racket had been operational in the area for quite sometimes. Acting on a tip off, a team of police officers from Baguiati police station raided the flat. Five women who were involved in the racket have been arrested by the police. Police have also arrested the flat owner Sujit Banik and another person Sambhu Sharma in this connection. After the primary investigation, police said that Banik used to run the sex racket. The accused used to hire women from various parts of the city and also from Rajarhat areas.
