Several injured at dussehra event

Several people suffered injuries at North-east Delhi’s Bhajanpura area on Friday night when an effigy of Ravana was set on fire during Dusshera celebrations. According to the police, some one set ablaze the effigy without informing the authorities present in the ground. This caused a stampede-like situation in which many people were injured. Police said that the incident took place at around 10 pm on Friday and people were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. A case will be registered based on the statements of the people.
