Senior Special Commissioner post scrapped

The post of “Senior” Special Commissioner in Delhi Police was on Thursday scrapped, about two months after three Special Commissioners were given the designation. However, all the three officers shall receive pay at DG-scale unlike other Special Commissioners who are considered equivalent to ADG-rank officials. An order issued on Thursday by the LG’s office states that the three Senior Special Commissioners of Police shall henceforth be Special Commissioner of Police (DG Scale).
