Security beefed up in city after Pathankot incident

Security agencies continue their vigil at all the important installations across the state to prevent any untoward incident. The security was beefed up in the city and all the districts after the terrorist attack that took place in Pathankot on early Sunday morning. Security checks have been tightened at all the entry points of the city. 

Police were found conducting extensive checking at the Vidyasagar Setu, Howrah Bridge and all the public places. Police are stopping vehicles at the city’s entry points and conducting a thorough search. They were found to check the licenses of the drivers. Railways have decided to replace some of the CCTVs which were not functioning at Howrah and Sealdah stations.
