SDMC inspects buildings to ensure structural safety

In order to ascertain <g data-gr-id="11">structural</g> safety of buildings, Mayor of South Delhi Municipal Corporation, Subhash Arya, reviewed comprehensive survey of all buildings. 

The SDMC informed that during the survey, as many as 10 lakh properties were inspected, out of which 24 properties were found to be susceptible in their structural safety aspect. “In order to avert any tragedy, Section 348 of the DMC Act-1957, has been invoked in respect of these buildings, and Vacation Notices under Section 349 of the DMC Act-1957, have been issued to the owners/occupants of such dangerous buildings,” said Arya. Commissioner of the South Corporation, Puneet Kumar Goel, informed, directions were issued in respect of Government buildings on the view of structural safety.
