‘SDM rank officer running pillar-to-post to lodge FIR’

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday alleged that Delhi Police turned away a Sub-Divisional Magistrate who wanted to lodge an FIR against two officers of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) whom he had caught taking bribes.

“An SDM rank officer of Delhi government is running from pillar-to-post to lodge an FIR against two officers of the DDA whom he caught red- handed while taking bribe,” said Sisodia in a tweet.

“Delhi Police refused to register the FIR and now the Anti Corruption Branch is also dilly-dallying on the issue,” he added. According to Delhi government spokesperson, the SDM and his team were at the ACB office.

“The local SDM caught the two officials red-handed while they were accepting the bribe in the DDA head office at INA,” claimed the spokesperson. The government has also circulated a video clipping on social media platforms claiming it to be a recording of the sting operation.
