Scrip rises 2%
Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Tuesday jumped over 2 per cent after the company announced that the agri-arm has forayed into dairy segment with the launch of Saboro brand. On BSE, shares of the company surged 2.12 per cent to end at Rs 1,253.15. Intra-day it went up by nearly 3 per cent to trade at Rs 1,263.40. The shares of the firm closed at Rs 1,251.75 on NSE, a rise of 1.94 per cent. A total of 9,63,955 shares of the company changed hands on the exchange. In a BSE filing, the agri business vertical of the firm today announced the launch of branded dairy product Saboro.
The company will offer an assortment of products, the first of which is the Saboro pouch milk, it said.
